De conformidad con el artículo 97.1.p) del Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007 (TRLGDCU), en la redacción dada por la Ley 10/2025, de 26 de diciembre, de servicios de atención a la clientela, les recuerdo su obligación de haberme avisado con al menos quince días de antelación al vencimiento del plazo sobre las consecuencias de no comunicar la no renovación, así como de ofrecer un procedimiento de cancelación sencillo y sin impedimentos. Si mi suscripción incluye edición impresa y edición digital contratadas conjuntamente, solicito que se me confirme si ambas modalidades pueden cancelarse de forma independiente o si es necesario tramitarlas por separado.
La presente comunicación es fehaciente y suficiente por sí misma para surtir plenos efectos, sin que su validez quede condicionada a ninguna confirmación telefónica. What to know when cancelling Newspapers & magazines in Spain
- Automatic renewal: Spanish press subscriptions (print and digital) renew automatically for equal periods; to stop the renewal you must respect your contract's notice period (from 24 hours to one month depending on the title). Note: the one-month rule of art. 22 Ley 50/1980 applies to insurance policies, NOT to press subscriptions.
- Print vs. digital: they are usually separate contracts with different terms and cancellation channels — some papers let you cancel the digital plan online but require a phone call or a letter for home delivery. Check which plan you actually have before sending your cancellation.
- 14-day withdrawal: if you signed up online or by phone you can withdraw within 14 calendar days (arts. 102–104 TRLGDCU); with digital subscriptions this right is usually lost once you start using the service after accepting the express waiver.
